Heather Hanson, Bus Operations Program Manager at Genentech, is leading the electrification transition of the company’s 80 motorcoach vehicles that serve 15,000 employees across 7 counties. As part of Genentech’s Transportation Department, Hanson is responsible for electric vehicle charging platform evaluation and selection, energy load management and EV/EVSE maintenance strategy. 

As Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Young Professionals in Transportation, Hanson has broadened the reach of her passion for high occupancy, zero emission transportation options and established herself as a trusted source in the area of electrification. 

Hanson holds a degree in Environmental Science from UC Santa Cruz and is a member of Stanford University School of Engineering’s Environment and Energy Program.
