Al Curtis Fleet Services Director for Cobb County has over 27 years of experience in the fleet service industry and has served in both the public and private sectors. Al manages over 2500 assets for Cobb County’s diverse fleet of vehicles. Al has made significant sustainability improvements within the Fleet. In 2019 he received the legendary lifetime achievement award and was inducted into the Public Fleet Hall of Fame.

Under his leadership, the County has added 39 electric vehicles, 40 charging stations, implemented an employee charging program, launched a distracted driver program that received national attention added 42 electric hybrids, 26 Bi-fueled propane trucks, 2 propane fueling locations and 4 all electric motorcycles. This aggressive deployment of alternative fuel technology has displaced over 175meteric tons of C02 emissions. These smart vehicles choices and strategic partnerships has saved the County over $500,000 and has aided in sustainability efforts to reduce the negative impact of greenhouse gas emissions in our County.
