Katie manages a team that has Health and Safety oversight at Roche. As a Certified Safety Professional, she is experienced in collaborating with a wide variety of business areas to assess and mitigate potential hazards. Since 2014, she has directed the safety of the Roche fleet with the goal to ensure each of the drivers arrive safely home to loved ones every night. Katie partners with Sharon Etherington and other key stakeholders to understand the needs and gaps of their 1400 drivers. This team strives to use data and interactions to best provide appropriate policies, strategies, training and tools to help drivers do their jobs safely and effectively. Prior to joining Roche in 2008, Katie worked in a variety of management and safety roles in university, teaching hospital, and manufacturing industries. She graduated with a B.S. from Purdue University and M.S. from California State University, Northridge.
